How are Swank and Kanopy different?

Answer

Swank provides access to the top 1000 films in its catalog (called the Top 1000 Collection), with an emphasis on feature films. While most films will be available for extended periods of time, some films may be introduced into the Top 1000 Collection while others will no longer be available. Kanopy includes such films as those in the Criterion Collection and from independent filmmakers. Some films will no longer be available after a time, but by design Kanopy seeks to provide long-term access to titles. Both catalogs include feature films, documentaries, international films, and TV shows. Each are available on and off campus.
